With the imminent launch of the new 007 sedan next week, Zeekr has addressed customer concerns about limited driving range by having its research and development team optimize materials and upgrade its technology to set a new benchmark for rapid charging.
Due to its aggressive industrial policies, which funnel billions into electric vehicles, China has become the global leader in the EV industry. Global legacy manufacturers have legitimate reasons to be concerned because Zeekr will soon outperform its US and European competitors.
Chinese automaker Zeekr launched new EV batteries on Tuesday, that it claims can charge from 10% to 80% in 10.5 minutes using ultra-fast charging stations — faster than any of its competitors, including Tesla and BYD.
Zeekr also claimed that the new battery could charge in 30 minutes at -10°C (14°F) temperatures. According to the US-listed company, the upcoming 2025 007 sedan will be the first vehicle model to use the new batteries.
